Contracts Manager- Housing and Council Works

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Contracts Manager with a strong background in housing and council works to join our team. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of all versions of the Schedule of Rates (SOR), excellent project management skills, and the ability to drive successful outcomes in a fast-paced environment. The Contracts Manager will play a crucial role in managing a diverse portfolio of projects, ensuring high-quality service delivery, and fostering positive relationships with clients and subcontractors. You will ideally have experience with leading and motivating a team of 20 to 40 individuals, ensuring effective collaboration and a positive working environment.


  • Extensive background in housing and council works.
  • Strong knowledge of all versions of the Schedule of Rates (SOR).
  • Valid driving license.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PDF tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Proven experience in project management and client relationship management.


  • Established ties into other councils and a strong subcontracting network.
  • Previous experience in handling a diverse portfolio of projects.
  • Track record of meeting or exceeding monthly turnover targets.
  • SMSTS Certificates
