Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Tax Accountant to join their team. They require a highly skilled professional who can manage tax compliance, planning, and advisory services for a range of clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of tax regulations and the ability to provide strategic financial guidance.
Duties & Responsibilities
· Managing and taking responsibility for a portfolio of clients.
· Preparing and finalising FRS102a statutory accounts.
· Completing tax computations and submitting returns to HMRC for sole traders and partnerships.
· Performing bookkeeping and VAT review work and return submissions.
· Supporting and supervising junior staff.
· Handling correspondence with HMRC, Companies House, and other related entities.
· Meeting with clients to maintain and strengthen relationships.
· Ensuring compliance deadlines and client requests are met.
· Supporting the Founder and handling ad-hoc tasks as required.
Skills & Qualification required
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Fully qualified Tax Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CTA, or equivalent certification preferred).
- Strong knowledge of tax laws, compliance, and reporting standards.
- Experience in corporate and individual tax preparation.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in tax software and financial management tools.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
Salary
· A starting salary of between £50,000 and £55,000 dependent on experience.
