Operations Executive

Our client is seeking a highly organized and proactive Operations Executive to join their dynamic team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth running of daily operations, improving efficiency, and supporting various business functions. The ideal candidate will manage and coordinates the organisation’s internal structure based on company policies, goals, and objectives to ensure an efficient working environment and consistent deadlines.

The Operations Executive will be part of the SMT (Senior Management Team), which suggests and outlines these goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Works as part of the SMT in setting goals that promote company growth
  • Identifies and project manages new opportunities at existing or new sites
  • Oversees the activity of the sites and promotes continual improvement
  • Prepares budgets, schedules, and other organisational reports as needed
  • Provides advice and guidance to site Managers
  • Develops plans to increase efficiency and reduce costs
  • Improves existing systems and policies and develops new ones as required
  • Ensures customer requirements are met in a timely manner
  • Promotes and enforces safety in the workplace and is responsible for maintaining the health & safety manual, policies, and procedures
  • Responsible for the Environmental Management System, its maintenance and implementation
  • Key contact with regulatory bodies such as HSE, SEPA, Local Authority Environmental Health and auditing organisations
  • Manages external product & service suppliers
  • Executes plans designed to meet company goals by changing policies and coaching employees

 

Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven experience in an operations, administration, or business support role.
  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and business management software.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyse data and generate actionable insights.
  • A degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field (preferred).
